So Tuesday afternoon the text messages flew, and we formed a team to play on Bungie Day in a matter of minutes. Our team of intrepid souls gathered at the agreed upon time to reach out for our chance at Glory, and an ellusive set of Recon.
1835 hrs. MST Our team forms up and is ready. It consists of: Keworth Bubba Tahu Kngtmre FireMedic41
We know that actually playing Bungie is a reach, and even if we did it wouldn't be pretty. The best we're hoping for is pity.
Starting out we're having a helluva time getting a game. (sad face)
160,000 people First match, we get split and Kngtmre ends up on the bummer side of the 3 on 3. No quitting rule....It's a flag game, and We go after Kngtmre. Kngtmre goes after us. We win 2-1. Poor Kngtmre.
Next game is Multi Flag 4 on 4 on "Haven v5". Three of their guys are in chat, one is solo. No flames showing (fire dept. terminology aptly appropriate for the whole night in fact). Geezers 3-0.
Next game is Slayer on Conduction. We win in a lag-fest. They have three quitters. Yay. Swing your mighty hammer Bungie.

Next game is Single Flag on "Eighty Grit". Tough map. We lose 2-1, no flames, and a good match. The other team stayed in the room with us for a while not saying anything. I wonder if they were thinking they won something? ;-)
The last match took 15 minutes, so it's breaktime. The great Corona is calling.
Next game is Multi Flag BR's on Colonnade. I hate this map. I suppose that it has it's possibilities, but it has too many indiosyncracies to have an all or nothing game in. We lose 3-1. Boo. Oh, and still no Bungie.
Next up is Slayer on Requiem. We win 50-37 in a massive show of teammwork mid-game. Not a whole lot of asshattery thus far from our opponents, which is a nice change of pace. Good game all the way around on a fun open map.

Next game is Multi Flag on Actuality-Break. Imediate calls for either "Veto" or Vito" from our opponents. We're not sure which. It does suddenly inspire me to create a map called "Veto" though. We win 3-0, and game is over in four minutes. We are pretty sure that they were in fact shooting back, but we don't think too long on it.
Next game up is Single Flag CTF on Synapse v3. We beat six year olds who immediately exclaimed "We didn't get 'em" (likely referring to our lack of flaming helmets). Yup, but we got them. 2-1 on a fairly interesting map. Keworth was a workhorse for when he wasn't being blown up, he was a flag courier extraordinaire.
Next is Single Flag on Eighty Grit again. Tough match, and kudos to the other team for overcoming massive adversity (we really had them pinned down). We logged a final flag to lock the tie at 2-2. Quite a fun match!
2028 161776 online Slayer on Reminisicent. In a 50-25 showing, we enjoyed a dominant match. Unfortunately for the other team, they had a quitter 3/4 of the way through. Hopefully the Bungie punishment will swing away. It definitely put their team at a disadvantage. Neat map though, and our opponents deserved a better teammate.
Next is Team BR's on Pivotal. Great match here. We win at the last minute with a 50-48 victory. I love this map anyway, but this was a victory that we achieved with some great last minute strategy. What good times!
Multi Flag on Chimera v3. - We lose 3-1 but outkilled them. I attribute the loss to map knowledge because I ran around for four minutes trying to find where to plant their dumb flag. We're collectively blaming Elmo for this. Kngtmre is comlpaining that his backside is in pain after this match. We don't question it further.

Next game is Multi flag on Cryptic Fate V5. Their party is in chat. We lose a rough one, and again this map is all about the knowledge of the layout. The other team were incredibly poor sports. It's too bad when good players look and act like children in need of Ritalin. I would have liked to writtenab out their skill and sportsmanship. Instead I'm left with thoughts of just more Timmies.
Suddenly taking a few minutes to get a match, but when we do we immediately we're immediately treated to screaming children. Nice.
Slayer on Paranoia 1.1. We drop down 8 kills, but regroup and keep together to pull this one out at the end 50-48.
Next game is BR's on Pantheon. They're obviously some Clan with matching happy and sad faces. We lose 50-38, but it didn't seem like we should have lost that bad. Damn Elmo.
Now 159168 in the playlist 2122 hrs.
Multi-flags BR's on Neosho 2.0 - We never even see the whole map. My teammates disagree with me, but even though none of us get anywhere close to a 1.0 KPD, I attribute it to map knowledge. I was being shot as I spawned in mostly, and they seemed to know where things were. The sad thing is, if we play that map again we still won't know where anything was. We lose in one of our worst yet, 3-0.
Keworth calls it a night here, so we need to find another. But we head out as a threesome om the meantime. 2135 hrs.
Slayer on Topple. We dominate the game with a fourth teammate that continues to simply grenade us. After we finish 50-39, we're told that we suck repeatedly. I also beleive that my mother was referenced at least three times. I'm glad the future of our world has the ability to remain defiant and ignorant in the face of epic failure and utter disgrace.
Next game is Slayer on Reminiscient. After a rough match, we win it 50-46. Kudos to the other team on this one, they gave us a really great match and were great sports.
2155 hrs. We tire of the playlist..pickup MadGod and RainerDawg (A Mad Bloke for some of you) and head off to Social DLC.
We play a single game of BR's and win. Kngtmre needs a break. We go back into the COmmunity Playlist.
2 games and 2 wins. Madgod and RainerDawg pick up where we left off and we had a few great games.
It's now late for me, and I have to finish things up for the night.
Thanks for the good times though Bungie, and Happy Bungie Day. Our team of adventuresome and undaunted Geezers Were truly sorry we missed getting beat up by you. ;-)
